Art & Its Mental Health Benefits
Engaging in creative activities has been shown to reduce levels of cortisol, a chemical in your body that is released in response to stress.
People who experience emotional trauma or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can use art to release emotions, express pain and reduce stress.
Other studies show that creating art also increases dopamine levels. High levels of dopamine can help to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
We know that talking about some things isn't easy, so using art can help make the process simpler to "get it out of your head".
Our new workshop, "The Creative Cure" works to conquer stress by gaining a better self-understanding and exploring one’s creative side to discover happiness.
